Language Arts Curriculum

Our language arts program (Wonders) is literature based, and is structured around ten themes. Each theme has a "Big Idea Question", and for each of the three weeks of instruction within the unit,  there will be a "Weekly Concepts Essential Question".  Each unit focuses on different skills, letters and words. These skills can be reinforced at home when you read with your child.  Sight words are another extremely important element of Kindergarten language arts. These are the most common words in children's literature, so regularly practicing these at home will give your new reader an extra boost!
